The Nintendo 64 power adapter can fail for one of three major reasons:

1) Faulty capacitors

2) Faulty fuse

3) Faulty power cord

To determine which part is the one causing your problems you will need a voltmeter. Measure the continuity of flow of the power cord and fuse. If power fails to flow freely along the fuse then this is the most likely cause. If the power cord or capacitors are the problem we also sell replacements of both of these.
