The Nintendo 64 power adapter can fail for one of three major reasons:

1) Faulty capacitors

2) Faulty fuse

3) Faulty power cord

To determine which part is the one causing your problems you will need a voltmeter. Measure the continuity of flow of the power cord and fuse. If power flows freely from one end to the other these are not the cause and a faulty capacitor is the most likely problem. This capacitor replacement would therefore be the ideal solution then. If the power cord or fuse is the problem we also sell replacements of both of these.
